Eastbourne

Eastbourne is a little settlement across the harbour from Wellington. While you can drive there via Petone in the Hutt Valley, you can also take a ferry over from Wellington city centre (which is the more fun option in my opinion). Lots of people do day trips over here with their bikes or to go to the beach. There are a bunch of little bays around here, and then excellent walking tracks up behind the bayside villages.
