Kaohsiung

Taiwan's second city, Kaohsiung, is located towards the southern tip of the island. It's quite an industrial city with a huge port, and has a very different vibe to Taipei. I saw much fewer tourists here, but it had a nice arty rehabilitated port district with a light rail and public art. I don't think I'd return here, but I'm glad I checked it out.
