Taroko Gorge

On the east coast of Taiwan is Taroko Gorge. Accessible by bus from the city of Hualien, this gorge is absolutely stunning. I was worried it would be underwhelming and too similar to scenery we have in Aotearoa but Taroko did not fail to impress. The scale of it, and easy of navigation by public bus was remarkable. I really enjoyed my day here, seeing the cool geology and even monkeys!
